Opal Dean Hedges McDowell, age 87, Bridgeville Road, Mt. Olivet, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana. Born in Robertson County, October 11, 1921, to the late Walter and Lydia Gladys Hamilton Hedges, she was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Warren McDowell.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicki G. Morgan, Robertson County; two grandchildren, Robin M. (Duane) McQuinlin, Burlington and Jason L. (Misti) Morgan, Robertson County and a granddaughter, Chloe Conley.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Dee Whitaker and Bro. Al Murray. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Corinth Christian Church, c/o Thomas Mitchell, 757 Sardis Road, Mt.
