Obituary for Pamela Hopkins (Daugherty)
Pam Hopkins, age 65, of Cynthiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Demossville, KY, on August 7, 1957, to the late Russell A. Daugherty and Rosella Bowling Daugherty.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Harry and Jeff Daugherty.
She is survived by her husband Jeff Hopkins; her children, Clint (Joel) Hopkins and Samantha (Travis) Wright; two grandchildren, Austin and Lucy Wright; a brother, Douglas “Boogie” (Linda) Daugherty; a sister, Judy Postel; and several nieces and nephews.
Pam was the “mother of all mothers” with many titles; her favorite being Mimi, Mom, Momma, Aunt Pammy, Pete and Miss Pam. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and welcomed all friends and family with open arms, the best hugs and a glass of sweet tea. She spent several years as a daycare teacher and enjoyed retirement with her beloved “grand babies.” She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with every person who was lucky enough to cross her path.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 10, 2023, at Ware Funeral Home with visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Ware Funeral Home. Her dear friend, Dr. Greg Cooper, will be delivering the service with burial following in Battle Grove Cemetery. In lieu of floral arrangements, please consider plants or flowering trees to be planted in her memory.
