Obituary for Phillip Ray Hunt

Phillip Ray Hunt, age 34, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022. He was born in Mt. Sterling on January 18, 1988, to Herman Dean and Jennifer “Elaine” Thompson Hunt. He is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, JW and Mildred Hunt, Charles and Sandy Thompson; an uncle, William Cecil Hunt; two aunts, Donna Denise Thompson, Elizabeth “Eickie” Hunt; and a special friend, Mark McCauley.
He is survived by his parents, Herman and Elaine Hunt; a son, Charles “Charlie” Aiden Hunt; a brother, Josh (Ashley) Hunt; a niece and nephew, Aubrey and Jayson Hunt; aunts and uncles, John (Emma) Hunt, Larry Hunt, Sharon (David) Noble, Charles Thompson Jr., Kimberly Thompson, Cynthia (Jason) Whirls, Kayliegh Thompson, Jeffery Earlywine; many cousins, Patrick and Larry Hunt, Crystal Hunt Torres, “CB” Charles Hunt, Kristina Noble, Jeffery “Hotrod” (Cassie) Earlywine, Kendra Earlywine, Stacy Gaunce, Tiffany Thompson, Abby, Zoey, Molly Earlywine, Jayden, Katie, Mark, Austin, Tyler, Hannah, and Taylor Hunt, and many more; Charlie’s mom and Phillip’s best friend, Michelle Hunt; special friends, his dog Wrangler Ray, Aaron and Brandon Morris, RH Martin, Jim and Rose Alexander, Travis Dennie, Greg Muntz, Jarrod Stevens, Susan Minnis, Tom and Kelly Pumpelly, Jimmy and Heather Morris, and so many more, as Phillip never met a stranger.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1st, at 8:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM. Bro. Kevin Strausbaugh will officiate the services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
