Phyllos Elaine Barnes Ross, 85, of Cynthiana, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1936, to the late Lonnie Chapel and Edith Mae Thomasson Barnes. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dr Roy Lee Ross; one brother, Gary Barnes; a son, Ronald Ross and a granddaughter, Jessica Ross.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda Ross; four sons, Rodger (Wendy) Ross, Walter (Margaret) Tapp, Vic (Teresa) Guyton and Willie Guyton; a daughter, Linda (Kevin) Boughner; six grandchildren, Brian (Kathleen) Ross, J.T. (Kayleigh) Ross, Ann Clay (Alex) Smith, Aleesha Tapp, Halee Tapp and Victor Guyton and two great-grandchild, Graham Ross and Marin Ross.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Paris Church of Christ located at 1923 Main Street, Paris, Kentucky 41061 by Clay Leonard and Dr. Stephen Besson. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paris Church of Christ Food Bank, 1923 Main Street, Paris, Kentucky 41061; or the Harrison County Extension Homemakers, 668 New Lair Rd, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031, or the Girl Scouts of the USA, Attn: Office of Philanthropy P.O.
