Obituary for Rachel Lee Tucker (Ward)

Rachel Lee Ward Tucker, age 51, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her home. She was born in Long Beach, California on May 15, 1971, to Delbert Ward and Dorothy Jo Neaves. She grew up in Georgetown, Kentucky, and lived her entire adult life in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two sons, Jordan (Teri Fires) David Tucker and Will Tucker; one brother, David Misenheimer; two sisters, Debbie (Bob) Crews and Sandra Norrod; stepmother, Debbie Ward; one stepbrother, Brandon Eversole; one stepsister, Ryan Eversole; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Rose and Rebecca Stephens; two grandchildren, Jayden Cole and Haley Marie Tucker; the father of her children, Charles Tucker; mother-in-law, Ann Roberts; a special friend, Joe Thornberry; her best friend, Jaime Foster and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who were extremely special to her.
Rachel was dedicated to taking care of others through her medical career with Hospice and the VA in Lexington, Kentucky. Her care and compassion were one of a kind. She had several hobbies and interests, including hiking, gardening, and painting. Her talents shined just as bright as she did to everyone around her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2022, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at the Christian Faith Center, 2859 KY HWY 36E, Cynthiana, KY 41031. Pastor Kim Young Smith will be officiating the services.
