Richard Lee Byrd, of Paris, KY, age 55, went to be with God on April 23, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 20, 1968, to the late Richard “Dick” and Lou Petrey Byrd. Richard is also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Byrd.
He is survived by a son, Joshua (Angela) Douglas Byrd of Bourbon County; three grandchildren, Xavier, Joshua and Abel; brother, Jeffrey Warren; sister, Lisa (Pastor Darryl) Gaunce of Georgetown; nieces: Stephanie (Donnie) Fryman, Tiffany (Pastor Eric) Rowe, Samantha (Travis) Fryman; and several great nieces and nephews. Ex-wife, Laura Smart, and Ex-mother-in-law, Ruby Smart, both of whom took care of him. Thank you to Jessica Carty, APRN, and Casey, along with Bluegrass Hospice Navigators Team.
Richard loved being outdoors, grilling and fishing.
