MSG Richard Wooten, age 76 passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born in Perry County on August 11, 1944 to the late Bill and Elizabeth Jane Sawyer Wooten.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Kathy Wooten; three sons, Bill (Christi) Wooten, Richard (Gloria) H. Wooten, Daniel Wooten; one daughter, Sandy (Mike) Weeks; five brothers, Rufus (Glenna) Wooten, Remus (Helen) Wooten, Rick (Charlene) Wooten, Ronald Wooten, Randy (Debbie) Wooten; five sisters, Ruby Riley, Rhoda Miller, Violet (Gayle) Humphry, Vaughda Wooten, Vickey (Daryl) Beverly; six grandchildren, Reed Wooten, Caleb (Sabra) Wooten, Amber Anderson, Lindsey Weeks, Johnny Weeks, Daniel Evan Wooten; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Marshall Wooten.
A funeral service will be conducted at
1:00 PM on Saturday, January 23rd at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
