Obituary for Robert C. Clements

ROBERT C. CLEMENTS, age 86, Mt. Olivet, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. Born in Taylor Mill, August 4, 1928 to the late Sidney Sayre and Sylvia Hillis Clements, he was a retired stationary engineer from Cincinnati Gas and Electric and a member of Mt. Olivet Church of Christ. Mr. Clements was a prior deacon of Taylor Mill Church of Christ, the Boy Scout Master for Troop 766 for 15 years and a former member of Taylor Mill Fire Department and Life Squad, Robertson County Livestock Association, Mt. Olivet City Council and Kentucky Farm Bureau Board. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Clements; two sons, Robert S. Clements and Marvin Bowman; a brother, Sidney Clements; a sister, Mary Lou Clements and a grandson, Jacob Hardy.

He is survived by three sons, James C. (Sherry) Clements, Loveland, Ohio, Walter E. (Sammie) Clements, Mt. Olivet and Jeffrey A. (Laural) Clements, Richmond; five daughters, Linda (Denney) Jones, Leigh Acres, Florida, Sandy (Robert) Gillespie, Villa Hills, Janet (John) LaCount, Glendale, Arizona, Sylvia (Adam) Myers, Warner Robins, Georgia and Darla (Jose`) Hernandez, Erlanger; twenty-five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a great great-granddaughter and a family special friend, Jim Deters.

Graveside services will 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Floral Hills Memorial Garden in Taylor Mill. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Robertson County Funeral Home and 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Taylor Mill Fire Department. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association (Bob's Brigrade in the Newport Heart Chase).
