Robert G. McDowell, age 80, Cynthiana, died Sunday, March 26, 2023 in Cynthiana. Born in Bedford on May 23, 1942 to the late James Robert and Lula McDowell, he was a Harrison County Vocational School automotive teacher and a United States Army veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet McDowell; a son, Timothy Wayne McDowell; two sisters, Lacey McCane and Shelby Jean McCane and two brothers, Alonzo McDowell and Johnny McDowell.
He is survived by four sons, Robert G. McDowell, Jr., Joshua Pelky, Todd Pelky and Joseph Graydon Pelky; a brother, Chester McDowell; a sister, Dolly McCane and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
