I was a friend of the Shanklin family and met Bobby when he came home from Vietnam. He grew up with my late husband, David Humphries and were members of the Berry Christian Church. David and I moved away from the area, but both of us have fond memories of Bobby through the years when we crossed paths while visitng the area. David and Bobby shared stories of such things as looking for Christmas trees for the church building when they were teens. Now, not only will Bobby reunited with his wife in Heaven, but also with my David, and, of course, most wonderful of all, see Jesus face to face! I love the Shanklin family and send my most sincere condolences. I understand the loss of a sibling, having just lost my brother in December and 2 sisters in previous years. The hope of Heaven is what sustains us when we lose our beloved famiy members. God bless you all during this time.
