Obituary for Roenah Maxine Whitson
Roenah Maxine Brady Whitson, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 17 at home. She was born in Nicholas County on March 14, 1935 to the late Gayle and Georgia Campbell Brady.
Besides her parents, she is preceded on death by her husband, Freddie Walker Whitson; one son, Freddie Walker Whitson Jr.; one sister, Betsy Logan Weddle; one grandson, Logan Trent Fryman; one granddaughter, Lisa Marie Fryman.
She is survived by one son, Carl (Rhonda) Whitson; three daughters, Linda (Michael) Beckett, Freda Gayle Saunders, Betty (David) Logan Richardson; one daughter in law, Gloria Faye Whitson; fourteen grandchildren, Michael Lynn Beckett, Gayle Ross Beckett, Amanda Marie Beckett, Georgia Shuran Keesy, Sarah Maxine Hunt, Seth Taylor Saunders, Penny Nichole Fryman, Justin Lee Richardson, Brandon Hopkins, Angela Louise Phelps, Megan Faye James, Jeremy Walker Whitson, Carlena Denae Crawford, Carl David Whitson; thirty beloved great grandchildren and three very special great, great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 21 at 11:00 AM at Ware Funeral Home with Bro. John Chamberlin officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Lyn Beckett, Gayle Ross Beckett, Jeremy Walker Whitson, Seth Taylor Saunders, Carl David Whitson, Logan Tate Cummins.
