Obituary for Rosa Lee Curd

ROSA LEE CURD, age 96, a resident of the Robertson County Health Care Facility, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at the nursing home. Born in Robertson County, June 12, 1915, to the late Garfield and Lillie Maud Overbey Barnett, she was a theater advertiser, a member of Kentontown Christian Church and a former Animal Welfare League volunteer in Cincinnati. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Ogle "Pat" Barnett; three sisters, Mabel Glenn Miller Dodson, Bonnie Jewel Lee Duncan and Ruby Carolyn Ernest Curtis and a niece, Wanda Jean Duddey.

She is survived by a stepson, John F. Curd, Brunswick, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Joan Elaine Bilik, Jacksonville, Florida; two nieces, Millicent Sharp, Robertson County and Virginia Lee Sturmer, La Crescenta, California; several great nieces and great nephews and special friends, Danny, Ginger, Caleb and Jacob Curtis, Janice Shepherd and Perry Gifford.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Doug Wright. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kentontown Cemetery.
