Russell “Willie” Wayne Williams, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Harrison County on February 23, 1943 to the late Leo and Nellie Thompson Williams. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Bobby, Ernie, and Kenny Williams; as well as the mother of his children, Irene Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Lynn Dozier Williams; five sons, Donald (Kayla), Austyn, Brayden, Ernest, and Russell Williams; two daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Williams Couch and Kelli Williams; two stepdaughters, Kelli (Curtis) Cole and Sarah Maxwell; three sisters, Sandy (Scottie) Ritchie, Faye (Larry) Ritchie, and Sue (Melvin) Griffieth; one sister-in-law, Sandy Williams; eleven grandchildren, Tiffany, Kristy, Michael, McKenzie, Dylan, Tanner, LeighAnn, HaLynne, Greg, Randy, and Danielle; several special great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
