Ruth S. McKinney Phillips of Cynthiana, age 90, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. She was born in Bourbon County on April 4, 1932 to the late Russell Reed and Anna Mary Turner McKinney. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Noel V. Phillips Sr.; one son, Noel V. Phillips Jr., four brothers, Russell R. McKinney, Raymond McKinney, James McKinney, George McKinney; four sisters, Emma M. Phillips, Dorotha Graves, Mary McKinney, and Betty Bays; one great grandson, Jaxon A. Dennis; and one son-in-law, Terry Hill.
She is survived by one son, Harold W. Phillips of Cynthiana; two daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Phillips Dennis of Cynthiana, Judy Phillips Hill of Georgetown; one brother, Charles McKinney; two sisters, Bobbie Baxter, Charlotte Ann Wells; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Adam Wilson and Dale Kendrick will officiate the services. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery
