Sterling Hampton, 83, of Cynthiana, KY, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. He was born on February 24, 1939, in Cynthiana, Ky, to the late James Albert Hampton and Virgie Howard Hampton. Sterling was also preceded in death by two brothers, Orville Hampton, Howard Hampton; and two sisters, Rose Turner, Alice Taylor.
He is survived by his spouse Betty Rose Hampton; one son Clinton (Susan Beth) Scott Hampton; his daughter Tracy (Smiser Jay) Lane Cook; ten grandchildren Cason Reed McIntosh, Dalton Scott Hampton, Jennifer Brooke Hampton, Randa Rose Hampton, Brandon David King, Olivia Grace King, Shawn David King, Alyssa Tamara Cook, Jesse Dylan Cook, Brandon Lee Cook; four great grandchildren Adelynn Jayce King, Aubrey Victory Cook, Carter Ren Cook, Brandon Lee Cook Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
