TERESA ANNE BURNS HANDSHEW, age 52, Wolfe Run Road, Germantown, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Louisville, March 20, 1957, to Patricia Oliver Newman of Leesburg, Florida and the late Bernice Newman, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Teresa loved gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Handshew; a son, Michael R. (Deborah) Handshew, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Dena L. (John) Webb, Gallatin, Tennessee, Amy L. (Donald) Lainhart, Ross, Ohio and Stacey M. Robinson, North College Hill, Ohio; two brothers, Ronald (Connie) Newman and Johnny Newman, both of Hamilton, Ohio; three sisters, Lynn C. (Congress) Creech, Hamilton, Ohio, Susie (Danny) Gordon, Fairfield, Ohio and Diane (Ben) McKenzie, Leesburg, Florida and seven grandchildren, Victoria Weishaupt, John Webb IV, Sarah Swaska, Hannah Lainhart, Donald Lainhart, Rachel Handshew and Megan Handshew.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church by Bro. Jonathan Lewis and Rev. Kevin Thomas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robertson County Funeral Home.
