Thelma Mae McRoberts, age 84, Mt. Sterling, formerly of Cynthiana, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born in Paris on May 20, 1938 to the late Ben and Helen Schanding Livingood, she was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Cynthiana. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward McRoberts, Sr.; three brothers, Carl B. Livingood, Donnie Livingood and Gene Livingood; a sister, Vivian Laytart and a granddaughter, Amanda McRoberts Schultz.
She is survived by three sons, James McRoberts, Joseph (Regina) Moreland and Carl, Jr. (Amy) McRoberts; three daughters, Rita (Pete) Dechant, Patricia McRoberts and Maggie McRoberts; a sister, Phyllis (Richard) Schwartz and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Ware Funeral Home with visitation at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be 10:00 A.M.
