Obituary for Willard Hensley

WILLARD HENSLEY, age 80, Robertson County, formerly of Harlan County, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. He was born June 12, 1934 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Ed and Fannie Morgan Hensley of Sawbriar Town. He was a disabled coal miner and strong in his Pentecostal faith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Hensley and three brothers, Paul Hensley, Silas Hensley and E.W. Hensley.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Edna Hensley; two daughters, Edith (Roland) Peace and Angela Fugate; Robertson County; three grandchildren, Willard Howard, Robertson County, Stephanie Howard, Robertson County and James Lee Fugate, Creelsboro; a great grandson, Roland C. Howard, Robertson County; four sisters, Lucy Keith, Mt. Orab, Ohio, Gemmima Derrett, Corbin, Kentucky, Imogene (David) Coffey, Cincinnati, Ohio and Edith (Dewayne) Jones, Corbin, Kentucky; a brother, Earnest Hensley, Corbin, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Robertson County Funeral Home by Pastor Harry Brooks with visitation at 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
