Obituary for William G. McBride

WILLIAM G. MCBRIDE, age 71, Mt. Olivet, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Born in Mason County, July 27, 1942 to the late James Ward and Marie Long McBride, he was a farmer, a former Robertson County State Highway Department employee, retired from the Robertson County Road Department and a member of Mt. Olivet First Christian Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. McBride, Jr. and a sister, Charlotte Ann Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Mastin McBride; a son, Thomas Daniel Gardner, Mt. Olivet; two daughters, Candace McBride (Derrick) Adamson, Mt. Olivet and Goldie C. (Troy) Williams, Maysville; three brothers, Harold McBride and Randy McBride, both of Mt. Olivet and Donald McBride, Lexington ; three sisters, Nancy (Alton) Staggs, Mt. Olivet, Linda (Robert) Honan, Lexington and Amy Sue (Crawford Leon) Maynard, Georgetown and three grandchildren, Emma Rhee Adamson, Darren Williams and Caleb Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Seth Adamson. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet First Christian Church.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Mitchell, Timmy Wright, Mark Mastin, Jeff Fogg, Mac McBride, Terry Mastin, Mike Mastin and Matthew Maynard. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Norris, Grant Paynter, Jimmy Staggs and Billy Ellis.
