Meet Our Staff


Tom Ware

Owner
Tom is a dedicated funeral service professional. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and holds both a funeral director and embalmer's license. Tom is serving his fifth term as Harrison County Coroner and a member of the St. Edward Catholic Church. He has three daughters-Rachel, Rebecca and Emily, a son, Thomas and eleven grandchildren, Abbi, Jackson, Maci, Izzi, Lexi, Cain, Bryce, Graci Jean, Jack Charles, Dean, Rosie, Carrick and Alan, whom he simply adores! Tom enjoys hunting, fishing and horseback riding in his spare time. But most of all he enjoys serving the families in his community.

Thomas Ware

Funeral Director & Embalmer
Thomas Ware, son of Tom and Polly Ware, has worked in the family business for several years. He is a graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service and holds his funeral director and embalmer's licenses. He and his wife, Julie, have five daughters, Abbi, Izzi, Maci, Lexi and Graci Jean. Thomas and Julie enjoy boating, horseback riding, fishing, golf and hunting in their spare time.

Reynolds Gifford

Reynolds Gifford has been an employee of Ware Funeral Home since its beginning in February of 1990. Reynolds serves Harrison County as a deputy coroner and is employed by 3M Company of Cynthiana. He and his wife, Sandy, have five children, Noah, Sydni, Brian, Ryan and Nevaeh. Reynolds attends Indian Creek Christian Church and enjoys playing golf, working in his yard and gardening during his leisure time.

Mitchell Judy

Mitchell Judy joined Ware Funeral Home in March of 2003 and primarily helps with visitations and funerals. Mitch, as his friends call him, and his wife, Beverly, have a son, Thad and a daughter, Lora. He is a retired Bluegrass Energy engineer and enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mitch is very active in the Indian Creek Christian Church and the Cynthiana Lions Club.

John Kennedy

John Kennedy has been an employee of Ware Funeral Home since May of 2012 and primarily helps with visitations and funerals. John and his wife, Phyllis, have a son, Rod and a daughter, Nona and four grandchildren. He is retired from Ladish Company and a deacon at the Indian Creek Christian Church. He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and spending time in the yard and on the farm.

Sherman Combs

Sherman Combs joined Ware Funeral Home in January of 2015 and primarily helps with visitations and funerals. Sherman and his wife, Rosie, have a son, Kelvin and a daughter, Jill. He is a retired from South Acres Mining Company and enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; R.J., Cody, Nathan and Jacob. Sherman is very active in the Leesburg Christian Church. 


Nick Hill

Nick started working for Ware Funeral Home in January of 2018. He primarily helps with funerals and visitations. He is employed by the Harrison County Board of Education, as a Physical Education teacher, at Eastside Elementary School. His wife, Erinn, and their son, Weston reside in Cynthiana, KY. Nick is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

Pam Hatterick

Pam joined our staff in May of 2018. In her spare time, she engraves glassware and attends craft shows as a vendor. Her and her husband, Thomas Hatterick, enjoy spending time with their family, as well as photography, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
